Privacy policy

The short version

This site does not ask you for a name, an email address or a phone number. It measures how the page is used so we know which parts work, and it sends you to Quicket when you buy. Your payment details go to Quicket and never touch us.

What we collect

• Usage data. Pages viewed, how far you scroll, which buttons you press, roughly where in the world you are, and what device and browser you use.
• Cart activity. Which tickets you add, so the page can show you a running total. The cart lives in the tab you have open and nowhere else. Close the tab and it is gone.

When you press through to pay, the only thing our server sends to Quicket is which ticket types you chose and how many of each. No name, no email address and no card details pass through us at any point, because the site never asks you for them.

Who it is shared with

• Quicket receives your order when you check out. They are the box office and the merchant of record, and their privacy policy covers everything you enter on their pages.
• Google Analytics receives usage data so we can see which parts of the page lead to a sale.
• Meta receives a record that a page was viewed or a checkout was started, so advertising can be measured and so we stop showing ads to people who have already bought.
• Google Maps is loaded on the venue section to show where the event is. Nothing is requested from Google until that part of the page is reached.

We do not sell your data to anyone.

Cookies

Cookies and similar storage are used for the measurement described above. Nothing on this site needs them to work: blocking them in your browser will not stop you reading the page or buying a ticket.

Your choices

You can clear or block cookies in your browser at any time, and both Google and Meta offer their own advertising controls. If you want to know what we hold about a specific order, Quicket holds it, so ask them first through the confirmation email they sent you.

Your rights

The Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 gives you the right to ask what personal information is held about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to object to it being used, and to withdraw any consent you have given. Asking costs nothing and we do not need a reason.

Send the request as a direct message on Instagram. If your request concerns an order you have already placed, Quicket holds that record and their privacy policy governs it, so send it to them through the confirmation email instead.

If you are not satisfied with how we handle it, you can complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa.

Changes

If what this site collects changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves.
